Assessing the Effectiveness of Heritage Site Management Programs in Saudi Arabia

Abstract

This study examines whether the current heritage site management practices adopted by the Saudi government for three heritage sites, namely Madain Saleh, Hejaz Railway, and At-Turaif district in Ad-Diriyah, have been effective in accommodating its heritage conservation objectives. This study explores the correlation between heritage conservation initiatives in Saudi Arabia and the government's Vision 2030 which encourages the government to find new revenue streams other than oil to preserve the country's sustainability.
