Detection and validation of Testis Expressed 19 (TEX 19) protein specific
Abstract
CTAs (cancer/testis-antigen) are a collection
of tumour antigens that are mainly expressed
in the testis, ovary, placenta, and germlines
in normal tissues. The majority of these
genes are located on the X chromosome, and
they are usually found in multigene families.
Diverse immunotherapy candidate genes
have been discovered utilising various
approaches during the previous decade.The
oncogene TEX 19 has the capacity to
accelerate the growth of cancer. Because of
its CT gene status, TEX 19 might be utilised
as a cancer biomarker for prognostic and
diagnostic reasons, as well as a prospective
immunotherapeutic target. This research had
unexpected results in the validation and
testting the specificity of an antibody
designed for the TEX 19 (clone 8).
Unfortunately, in this research we could not
detect the TEX 19 with the designed TEX
19 antibody (clone 8). This paper will show
the materials and methods used for this
research.
