Abstract

Research Aims: This research aims to assess the I4.0 readiness in Saudi manufacturing SMEs and to investigate the challenges that might prevent them from reaching higher readiness levels Boundaries: The research investigates the I4.0 readiness of SMEs located in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia. Research Questions: The research investigates two questions: (1)What degree of readiness in Saudi manufacturing SMEs for the fourth industrial revolution? (2)What are the biggest challenges Saudi manufacturing SMEs face in implementing I4.0 strategies and technologies?
