Abstract

This quantitative study examined the perspectives and actions of rock climbers regarding sustainability. Based on a sample of 163 participants, the study used a cross-sectional survey design to determine the views of rock climbers in relation to issues linked to sustainability. From the collected data, the study concluded that it is important to facilitate ongoing efforts to cultivate a culture of sustainable rock climbing. It promotes continuous research and community-engaged methods to guarantee that rock climbing not only conserves the natural environments it depends on but also sets an example for environmental responsibility in outdoor sports. The study revealed that climbers, especially individuals between the ages of 25 and 34, possess both knowledge and a willingness to endorse and financially contribute to sustainable initiatives. As evidenced by well-informed tactics and shared dedication, the climbing community can retain its treasured customs while advocating for a sustainable future.
