JOB SATISFACTION IN SAUDI HEALTHCARE SECTOR
Abstract
Job satisfaction is an expansive factor that is influenced by the main factors. This study
delves into a theory-based exploration of the various factors that affect job satisfaction. The
literature review investigates the theoretical framework on job satisfaction, its definition, and
the factors that influence it. The study's methodology focuses on case studies of works by
other researchers focusing on Saudi Arabia. Each case study is a peer-reviewed source that
provides results of various studies conducted in Saudi Arabia. The findings from the literature
review indicate that there exists a direct relationship between job satisfaction and retention.
Job satisfaction is a critical determinant for any individual on whether to leave or stay in the
organization. The decision to increase or decrease human resources in the health care sector
should be premised on job satisfaction. The case study reviews different studies that explore
the various factors that impact job satisfaction, such as job anxiety, job inspiration, job
prospects, significant work, obligation towards career, health complications, the opportunity
for progression, salary, and job security. The study further established that pay is correlated
to job satisfaction. However, there is limited research on health workers inclined to auxiliary
inquiry; hence, this research investigates job satisfaction determinants. The paper provides an
extensive case study on the literature on job satisfaction in Saudi Arabia. The paper will
assess job satisfaction levels in public and private sectors while focusing on the relationship
between job satisfaction and employee retention in the Saudi health care sector
