Abstract

Abstract Background: During the Covid-19 epidemic, the concept of telehealth and of getting help via a digital platform became increasingly popular. Even though a tendency connected with the introduction of telehealth for medical support has been apparent in the period before the pandemic, the Covid-19 pandemic has acted as a catalyst in amplifying its importance in routine healthcare. As a result, this kind of healthcare support comes with a range of benefits, including improved flexibility and the ability to schedule visits based on the needs of both the patient and the doctor. Research Aim: To determine the attitudes of medical staff towards the adoption of telehealth during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: A systematic review was chosen to collect secondary data. Data was gathered from databases such as PubMed, CINAHL, and Medline via Ovid, then refined through the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) stages of identification, screening, and eligibility. Fifteen papers were selected and critically evaluated through Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) checklists. Results: Three themes were found in the examined studies. The findings generally indicate that throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, the notion of telehealth and seeking medical help through internet platforms has increasingly dominated. Despite a substantial growth in the usage of telemedicine in the years before the pandemic, the Covid-19 pandemic appears to have worked as a catalyst for amplifying the possibilities of telehealth in routine healthcare procedures.
