The convergence of business and leisure travel, known as "Bleisure," has emerged as a prominent trend among modern professionals seeking to balance their work obligations with personal fulfilment. This dissertation provides a comprehensive exploration of Bleisure travel, with a particular focus on the experiences of business travellers in Saudi Arabia. In the context of rapid economic development and social change, Saudi Arabia presents a unique environment where traditional business practices are increasingly intersecting with contemporary global trends. This study investigates the motivations behind the adoption of Bleisure travel among Saudi professionals, examining the socio-cultural factors that influence this trend, as well as the potential benefits and challenges associated with it. The research adopts a quantitative approach, utilising extensive surveys to gather data on how Bleisure travel is perceived and practised within Saudi Arabia. The findings reveal that Bleisure travel is not only a means of enhancing job satisfaction and productivity but also serves as a vehicle for cultural exchange and personal growth. This is particularly relevant in a region where traditional business practices are being reshaped by globalisation and technological advancements. However, the study also highlights several challenges, including the need for clear organisational policies, the potential for blurred boundaries between work and leisure, and the financial implications for both employees and employers. The dissertation further explores how Saudi Arabian organisations are responding to the growing demand for Bleisure opportunities, and the role of corporate culture in either supporting or hindering this trend. Additionally, the research considers the implications for the travel and hospitality industry in Saudi Arabia, where service providers are increasingly catering to the needs of business travellers who seek to combine work with leisure. By understanding the dynamics of Bleisure travel within the Saudi context, this study contributes valuable insights for both business and industry leaders, offering strategies for enhancing employee well-being, fostering work-life integration, and capitalising on the economic potential of this emerging trend.
