This study investigates how employee engagement influences green logistics practices in logistics service providers (LSPs) in Saudi Arabia. A quantitative survey of 100 employees applied the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) and the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) model to measure engagement (vigour, dedication, absorption) and assess its relationship with environmental attitudes and sustainable practices. The results show that engaged employees were more likely to report adoption of energy-saving warehouses, sustainable packaging, and fuel-efficient transport, while recycling remained the weakest practice. The study adds evidence from an under-researched context and demonstrates that engagement is a critical enabler of sustainability, not just a technical or managerial issue. These findings offer insights for Saudi Vision 2030 and contribute to international sustainability goals such as SDG 8, SDG 12, and SDG 13.
