Integrating Business Intelligence (BI) with Enterprise Systems of Large-sized Saudi Enterprises: Challenges and Future Trend
Abstract
Business intelligence (BI) systems have expanded in importance across a broad range of industries, from small and medium-sized companies to large-scale established enterprises. While it is well known, organisations are becoming increasingly concerned with how they use their information and thereby maximize its value for competitive purposes and continuous improvement. In a globalized world characterized by constant change, BI systems are becoming a definite component in each organisation. The primary purpose of this dissertation is to identify the most challenges and issues faced while integrating business intelligence systems and address the problems associated with BI software selection in organisations. Our focus is to understand these challenges in large-scale Saudi organisations. Additionally, the study aims to identify and review significant variables of concern related to technical and non-technical factors. Moreover, we address the future directions of BI systems in various organisations across different sectors. Thus, this dissertation provides an overview of the general BI issues in Saudi Arabia for large-scale organisations in different sectors and the specific challenges for different BI software. It also shed the light on the factors that influence the rise of each challenge. It would then look at the most future trends that different sectors focus on their future plans.
