The food manufacturing industry is growing and continuously evolving. Investors need to understand the health and competitive levels of business entities operating within the industry to make appropriate decisions. The firm's financial health, competitive health, and strategic soundness are the most critical indicators of the overall firm's performance within the industry. Therefore, understanding how the firm performs compared with others, as well as that of the industry, remains crucial for stakeholders. This study's objective is to compare the performance of two companies operating within the food industry, Premier Foods and Samworth Brothers, by examining their strategic focus, financial performances, and valuation metrics to establish their suitability for future investments. The comparative analysis is based on SWOT, financial assessment, and valuation. The report applies the financial reports to ratio analysis, vertical and horizontal analysis, and valuation to determine the company's suitability for future prospects.
