Abstract
Healthcare organizations facing environmental sanitation challenges such as insufficient infrastructure such as inadequate sanitation facilities and water supply, incorrect management of medical waste, and inconsistent cleaning practices. These problems may raise the risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), endanger healthcare personnel, and jeopardize the safety and wellbeing of patients.
Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study design was used to assess the challenges of environmental sanitation at healthcare organizations. This study was carried out at the six primary healthcare centers that are affiliated with the middle district- Najran region. The participants of the present study were healthcare providers, namely nurses, physicians, laboratory technicians, infection control team members and sanitary workers
