Abstract
This consultant report provides an in-depth analysis of International Business Machines Corporation
(IBM), focusing on its corporate environment, strategic positioning, and financial health to deliver
evidence-based recommendations for enhancing operational efficiency, financial performance, and
competitive positioning. The report compares IBM’s financial and strategic positioning against its main
competitor, Accenture (ACN), evaluates key strengths and challenges within the technology and
consulting sectors. Using a multi-layered analytical framework including Porter’s Diamond Model,
PEST, and Porter’s Five Forces, the report examines the macro and micro environmental factors shaping
IBM’s strategic, operational, and competitive landscape. IBM’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities,
