(Saudi Digital Library, 2020) Alhajjaj, Fatima Ali; Khawaja, Muhammad Junaid
The study explores the impact of promotion and rewards on the motivation level and the employee's performance among the administrative employees in the higher education system in Saudi Arabia. A survey of about 210 respondents from Qassim University suggests that HR needs like promotions, rewards, impact the motivations level and performance of the employees. In the model promotions and rewards are taken as independent variables, motivations as mediating, and employee performance as a dependent variable. Descriptive statistics, reliability, and multiple regression analysis are calculated to test the significant dynamics influencing the administrative employees' job performance, and the use of factor analysis, as well as correlation test, is applied. The kay result of the study proved that there is a positive relationship between promotion and rewards on the motivation level and among the employee performance. It is therefore recommended that the higher education sector and universities should provide their administrative employees with the appropriate academic motivation to facilitate effective teaching and delivery of knowledge.
