Project Handover Document: AppAttack and PT-GUI – Trimester 3, 2024
(Saudi Digital Library, 2025-04-16) Alzahrani, Abdulmajeed Hussain; Archbold, Benjamin; Turner, Ryan
This document outlines the comprehensive handover for the AppAttack and PT-GUI projects completed during Trimester 3, 2024, at Deakin University under units SIT374/764 and SIT378/782. AppAttack focused on providing real-world penetration testing and secure code review services through structured sub-projects targeting multiple clients, including DataBytes AMS, Gopher Guardian, and the Hardhat Company Website. PT-GUI enhanced educational penetration testing by offering a graphical toolkit with 72 tools, 12 walkthroughs, and integrated ChatGPT support. Both projects included automation, tool development, vulnerability assessments, and integration with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF and Essential Eight. The document details team contributions, development methodologies, upskilling resources, architecture, deliverables, and a roadmap for future improvements

EXPLORING HOW ‘FRAMING’ OF IMPACT ASSESSMENT CAN BE DEVELOPED FOR URBAN HISTORIC PUBLIC PARKS
(The University of Liverpool, 2024-09-04) Allehyani, Saed; Jha thakur, Urmila
Abstract This study explores the classification, preservation and impact assessment of historic urban parks with a focus on Birkenhead Park which constitutes a significant cultural landscape in the UK. The research employs a mixed-methods approach through combining primary data from semi-structured interviews from four managers who work in Birkenhead Park and observations done by the researcher as well as using secondary data from a visitor survey which was already collected previously. This approach aims to provide a comprehensive approach for evaluating the multifaceted value of urban heritage parks, integrating historical, cultural, natural, economic and social dimensions. Findings highlight the challenges of balancing cultural heritage and natural elements, the importance of community engagement and the economic benefits associated with tourism and public well-being. Observations reveal both the aesthetic appeal and maintenance issues of the park while survey data, which already exists, underscores visitor experiences and the importance of accessibility. Moreover, the study addresses the barriers faced by disabled visitors such as during COVID-19 on park usage. By proposing a framework that incorporates stakeholder collaboration and inclusive practices, the research aims to enhance the recognition, protection and sustainable development of historic urban parks by ensuring they continue to serve as valuable public resources and heritage sites.

Global, Local, Hybrid: Manufacturing in the Age of Disruption
(Saudi Digital Library, 2023-08-24) Albisher, Ali Mohammad; Patsavellas, Jouhn
The economic landscape has drastically changed during the past decades, shifting from its local characteristics into a highly global decentralized manner. Nonetheless, the current supply chain disruptions such as the Covid-19 pandemic and materials shortages have imposed a significant challenge in terms of managing these distributed entities. Consequently, this research aims to construct a comprehensive understanding of the quintessential challenges, opportunities, factors, and technologies involved in the decision-making process of centralizing or decentralizing manufacturing systems. The research starts by conducting a condensed systematic literature review to analyze the existing publications on the subject topic and to determine the research gaps. Then, qualitative data was gathered by conducting semi-structured interviews with industrial experts in different fields to ascertain the relative importance of the main factors affecting the manufacturing positioning decisions. Additionally, the collected interview data was prioritized and thoroughly analyzed by utilizing the Analytical Hierarchy Process Methodology. The analysis showed that generic manufacturing positioning factors can be classified into primary and secondary factors. The primary factors consist of geopolitics & economic factors, capital costs, and accessibility to resources respectively; while secondary factors include market & business drivers along with flexibility, agility, and responsiveness which depend on the primary ones. Furthermore, a consolidated generic centralization vs decentralization decision-making framework has been proposed and validated.
