Abstract
The study was designed to investigate the effect of utilizing active learning
strategies (ALSs), in particular Think-Pair-Share (TPS), on a group of female
preparatory year students of Taibah University in developing their speaking skill and
reducing their foreign language anxiety. The sample of the study consisted of (60)
