Comprehensive Business Plan for Augmented Reality Interior Design (ARID) Application
Abstract
This comprehensive business plan investigated the attitudes of customers and interior designers towards the idea of using Augmented Reality Interior Design (ARID) application in the interior design industry. The main idea of ARID is to facilities the searching process of interior designers for customers and to be reached by a higher number of customers for interior designers. Also, some customers have an idea of a specific design in their mind; ARID application helps these customers to design and visualise their own space by themselves through using augmented reality technology within the application.
The data was collected and evaluated by using a web-based questionnaire (Qualtrics). Participants were 124 customers and 40 interior designers, including males and females. This study used primary data collection with quantitative measures, and the results are discussed by using percentages and numbers. The results indicated that the attitudes of participants towards the idea of this business and its fees are positive. According to the financial analysis, the profitability of the business is growing more than 25% each year starting from the second year. Therefore, this business plan discovered that the idea of this business is feasible to apply in the Saudi market by using the most suitable tools for analysing and evaluating the ARID business.
