Abstract
Since the insurance industry is aimed at hedging risks of any type, a complete and systematic analysis of the various risks to which everyone is exposed provides a valid tool to support decisions. This project is therefore aimed at identifying and analysing the most relevant approaches and classification models of both risks and types of insurances. A systematic literature review is therefore performed in order to ground the assumptions of the project before determining the results of the research. The outcome of this project can be useful to insurers (for a better identification of risks), the commercial department of insurance companies (to be able to evaluate the convenience of expanding the business in hedging types of risk not previously considered), to potential customers of insurance companies (to assess the convenience or need to sign an insurance contract).
