Abstract
This Annotated Translation Project (ATP) includes the translation of medical text, educational genre. The translation was from English to Arabic. The source text is taken from a medical book titled “Focused Clinical Examination for MRCS Finals (OSCE)”. This medical educational book provides a focused approach to conducting clinical examinations on patients and underlines the essential features that medical students need to cover during the examination. The translation is followed by a commentary which discusses some features of translating technical and scientific text into Arabic and the standardization of specialized terminology in the Arab world. The commentary also addresses some of the difficulties faced and tries to defend translation choices using theoretical methods and critical analysis. Moreover, this commentary will contain a full list of the sources which assisted in producing this project.
