dc.description.abstract | The objective of this study is to sociologically investigate the phenomenon of terrorism and its core causes. The first section is mainly devoted to the long-debated question of what terrorism is. The following sections concentrate on critically assessing the core causes of terrorism. Individual physiology and will be explored, followed by a delineation of the structural causes of terrorism—mainly economic conditions and poverty. The study employs a methodology based on secondary data and applies the sociological imagination to highlight gaps and weaknesses in the literature. | |
