| dc.description | This study aimed at investigates the effectiveness of teaching science through inquiry on developing the basic science processes and the aspects of appreciation towards scientists among elementary students. The researcher used the quasi experimental method that has two groups (experimental group and control one). The study sample consisted of (40) students at the sixth grade of Al.Shifaa Elementary School in Unaizah governorate. They were randomly divided into two groups (experimental group and control one). The researcher used two instruments for this study: Basic Sciences Processes Test and the aspects of appreciation criterion towards scientists. The results of the study revealed that there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group and those of the control group in the Basic Science Processes post-test in favour of the experimental group students. There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group and those of the control group in the aspects of appreciation criterion towards scientists post-test in favour of the experimental group students: which mean the effectiveness of teaching science through inquiry on developing the basic science processes and the aspects of appreciation towards scientists among elementary students. According to these results, the study recommends Science teachers to train their students on the scientific inquiry skills and concern with the Basic Science processes in learning Science. Also, it is important to enhance the curricula of science with exercises which developing the skills of scientific inquiry among students. | |
| dc.description.abstract | التجريبي هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على فاعلية تدريس العلوم بالاستقصاء في تنمية عمليات العلم الأساسية وأوجه التقدير نحو العلماء لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الابتدائية، واستخدم الباحث المنهج التجريبي ذو التصميم شبه ذو المجموعتين (التجريبية والضابطة)، واشتملت عينة الدراسة على (٤٠) تلميذا من تلاميذ الصف السادس الابتدائي في ابتدائية الشفا بمحافظة عنيزة، تم تقسيمهم عشوائيا إلى مجمعتين تجريبية وضابطة، واستخدم الباحث أداتين وهما اختبار عمليات العلم الأساسية، ومقياس أوجه التقدير نحو العلماء. وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطي درجات تلاميذ المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار عمليات العلم؛ لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطي درجات تلاميذ المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لمقياس أوجه التقدير نحو العلماء؛ لصالح المجموعة التجريبية؛ مما يدل على فاعلية تدريس العلوم بالاستقصاء في تنمية عمليات العلم الأساسية وأوجه التقدير نحو العلماء لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الابتدائية. وفي ضوء تلك النتائج، أوصت الدراسة بضرورة تدريب معلمي العلوم لتلاميذهم على مهارات الاستقصاء العلمي، والاهتمام بعمليات العلم في تعلم مادة العلوم، بالإضافة إلى إثراء مناهج العلوم بالأنشطة التي تنمّي مهارات الاستقصاء العلمي لدى التلاميذ. | |
