Abstract
الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على خاتم الأنبياء والمرسلين، المبعوث رحمة للعالمين، محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين... وبعد: إن هذه الرسالة تتناول موضوع "السلطان نور الدين محمود بن زنكي في كتابات المستشرقين"، وهو موضوع تاريخي مهم له أثره في فترة العصور الوسطى؛ وقد تم تقسيم فصول الرسالة إلى أربعة فصول سبقها تمهيد يشمل تعريف بالسلطان نور الدين محمود ولمحة عن الاستشراق. أما الفصل الأول فقد جاء تحت عنوان "مناهج المستشرقين ومصادرهم في الكتابة عن نور الدين محمود بن زنكي"، وقد تم التعريف بأبرز المستشرقين الذين تناولوا السلطان نور الدين محمود في مؤلفاتهم، واحتوى هذا الفصل على ثلاثة مباحث؛ في المبحث الأول التعريف بالمستشرقين الذين كتبوا عن السلطان نور الدين محمود ومدارسهم، وتناول المبحث الثاني مناهج المستشرقين في الكتابة عن السلطان نور الدين محمود، ودار المبحث الثالث حول مصادر المستشرقين في الكتابة عن السلطان نور الدين محمود. أما الفصل الثاني فقد جاء بعنوان "كتابات المستشرقين المنصفة حول السلطان نور الدين محمود بن زنكي"، وتناول هذا الفصل مختلف آراء المستشرقين المنصفة من شتى المدارس الاستشراقية حول السلطان نور الدين محمود زنكي، واحتوى هذا الفصل على خمسة مباحث؛ في المبحث الأول حديث عن الجوانب الإنسانية والاجتماعية في شخصية السلطان نور الدين محمود؛ وتناول المبحث الثاني الجوانب السياسية في دولة السلطان نور الدين محمود؛ واستعرض المبحث الثالث الجوانب العسكرية في دولة السلطان نور الدين محمود؛ وفي المبحث الرابع استعراض للجوانب الدينية في دولة السلطان نور الدين محمود؛ أما المبحث الخامس والأخير فقد جاء فيه الحديث عن الجوانب الإدارية في دولة السلطان نور الدين محمود وقد احتوى الفصل الثالث الذي جاء بعنوان "كتابات المستشرقين غير المنصفة حول السلطان نور الدين محمود بن زنكي" على أربعة مباحث في المبحث الأول حديث عن القضايا الإنسانية والاجتماعية في شخصية السلطان نور الدين محمود، وتناول المبحث الثاني القضايا السياسية والعسكرية في دولة السلطان نور الدين محمود؛ واستعرض المبحث الثالث القضايا الدينية في دولة السلطان نور الدين محمود، وفي المبحث الرابع والأخير فقد جاء الحديث فيه عن القضايا الإدارية في دولة السلطان نور الدين محمود أما الفصل الرابع والأخير فقد تناول "شبهات المستشرقين في الكتابة عن السلطان نور الدين محمود بن زنكي وتحليلها"، وقد جاء في هذا الفصل نقد وتقويم الشبهات التي أثارها المستشرقون عن السلطان نور الدين محمود في كتاباتهم، واحتوى هذا الفصل على أربعة مباحث؛ في المبحث الأول الحديث عن منشأ الشبهات وأسبابها، وتناول المبحث الثاني أهدافهم وأغراضهم من الكتابة عن السلطان نور الدين محمود ودار المبحث الثالث حول طبيعة الشبهات وطرق عرضها، واستعرض المبحث الرابع نقد الشبهات وتفنيدها والرد عليها. وأخيرا ختمت الرسالة بخاتمة حوت على أبرز النتائج التي توصلت إليها الرسالة، ثم ذيلتها بالملاحق، تتبعها أهم المصادر والمراجع التي تم الرجوع إليها في هذه الرسالة. هذا وأسأل الله الواحد الأحد أن أكون وفقت في عرض هذا الموضوع عرضا يليق بتاريخ السلطان نور الدين محمود المشرف.
Description
First and foremost, this thesis discusses "Sultan Noor Al-Dein Mahmoud Ben Zenki in the Orientalists Writings". This significant historical subject laid its impact in the medieval period of history. This thesis is divided into four chapters preceded by an introductory section introducing Sultan Nur Ad-Din Mahmud and a brief overview on Orientalism. The first chapter, titled "methods and sources adopted by orientalists when writing about Nur Ad-Din Mahmud Zengi", focuses on introducing the most prominent orientalists who mentioned Sultan Nur Ad-Din Mahmud in their writings. This chapter is further divided into three sections as follows: the first section introduces the names and schools of orientalists who wrote about Sultan Nur Ad-Din, the second section focuses on the approaches adopted by orientalists when writing about Sultan Nur Ad-Din Mahmud, while the third and last section discusses the sources and references used by the orientalists in writing about Sultan Nur Ad-Din Mahmud. The second chapter, titled "orientalists’ objective opinions on Sultan Nur Ad-Din Mahmud Zengi", addresses the various objective opinions held by orientalists on Sultan Nur Ad-Din Mahmud Zengi based on different approaches. This chapter is subdivided into five sections as follows: the humane and social aspects of Sultan Nur Ad-Din's personality, the religious aspects under his ruling, the administrative aspects, political aspects, and finally the military aspects under the reign of Sultan Nur Ad-Din Mahmud Zengi. The third chapter, titled "orientalists’ subjective opinions on Sultan Nur Ad-Din Mahmud Zengi", revolves around four sections as follows: Sultan Nur Ad-Din's personality’s humane and social matters, the political and military matters during the period of his reign, the religious aspects under his ruling, and the administrative matters regarding Sultan Nur Ad Din Mahmud Zengi's state. The fourth and final chapter discusses "Stating and analyzing the suspicions written by the orientalists on Sultan Nur Ad-Din Mahmud Zengi". This chapter attempts to criticize and correct the suspicions raised by orientalists in their writings about Sultan Nur Ad-Din Mahmud. The four sections under this chapter are as follows: the origin and grounds of these suspicions, the purposes behind writing about Sultan Nur Ad-Din Mahmud, the nature and presentation approaches of such suspicions, and the criticism, refutation and correction of them. This thesis is concluded by highlighting the main results and findings in addition to the most important sources and references, which are listed in the appendix. I hope I was successful in presenting this subject in a manner befitting Sultan Nur Ad-Din Mahmud and his remarkable legacy
