Item Restricted The Temporality In Urban Strategies Mina Case Study(Saudi Digital Library, 2016) Alamoudi, Mohammed; Jäger Klein, CarolineThe perception of designs for city development has normally considered a master plan or permanent form. Drawing from the history of urban planning and in the context of current situation in effective urban strategies, the dissertation thesis argues that the temporality in urban strategies is becoming the most important element for future urban design. The author is defending the statement in four chapters using theoretical as well as empirical approach. First chapter is devoting to temporary urbanism itself where the basic concepts and theories are presented. Second and third chapter are analytical, describing the case studies of temporary cities and events with the main focus on Mina – exact example of temporary city. By analysing and comparing the case studies we focused on implementation of temporary strategies, changes in time and finally situation after the end of event or occasion. We have proved effectiveness in temporary urban planning. Fourth chapter is providing the insight to the own research where we used relevant computer programs and analytical tools to analyse data from primary survey and social media as bottom-up approach to temporary urbanism. We analysed temporary uses of urban spaces and attitudes of temporary users to build the model of quality of life in temporary cities and prove the interest of grassroots level in urban planning. In addition we proposed post-analysis of London Olympics and Shanghai Expo as prove of the importance of temporality nowadays. We discovered that there are lots of proves of temporality becoming the most important element for future urban design as we stated at the beginning of dissertation. Last part of the thesis is simulation analysis providing the process of urbanisation in temporary entities to show the origination of the temporary formations in reality18 0Item Restricted Administration of Natural Disasters and Crisis(Saudi Digital Library, 2013) Aljameel, Suliman Mousa; Mocanu, Victor24 0Item Restricted Saudi Women Role in Development of the Society(Saudi Digital Library, 2015) Alshahrani, Sabra Naji; Cviklova, LucieIn this research, we showed and clarified the role of Saudi women in development and to demonstrate the role played by Saudi women and the status of the effectiveness of society, although it was delayed for several different reasons, including social, cultural and economic. We explained the importance and prestige that Islam gave to women and statements in the Quran and in Sunnah agree on the importance of the work and effectiveness of women in society. Also the role of women in society is affected by the customs, traditions and interpretations of the values and traditions of society. Historically, in the beginning of the formation of the first and second Saudi states, the education of women did not play a large role except for primitive education in such matters as religion, reading and writing on a small level and due to reasons including the development of a growing, busy state. But in the Third Saudi State by King Abdulaziz bin Saud and later his sons, women's education was clear goal that set up infrastructures to make decisions in their right to education and learning. The golden age of women was in the reign of King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. Their decisions in favor of women and opening foreign studies, has in a strong development on the academic level. In the last chapter, we did interviews with Saudi women through the Internet, we chose these women based on their struggles, the difficulties they have overcome and their service to their community in their respective fields.13 0Item Restricted Impacts of Studying Abroad on the Knowledge and Attitudes Towards Sustainable Development: A Case Study of the Scholarship Pro-gram in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia(Saudi Digital Library, 2014) Alqhtany, Hashim ; Ponocny, IvoThis study aims to examine the relationship between studying abroad and knowledge and attitudes towards sustainable development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Surveys were sent to all students both in the country and out. These surveys contained questions intended to measure the differences in the knowledge that the students had acquired. Both qualitative and quanti- tative questions were put to the students. After collecting the data, a software pack- age called SPSS was used for analysis of the data. Finally, the results were interpreted and conclusions drawn. This study had a sample size of 45 respondents, 29 of which are studying in the country, and 27 of which were on scholarship studying abroad. The results reveal that students studying abroad tend to acquire more detailed infor- mation about sustainable development.15 0Item Restricted Clinical Important of Axilla(Saudi Digital Library, 2014) Maashi, Ahmed Khalil Mohammed; Mihalik, JozefThe first part of my thesis is devoted to the description of the axillary fossa (axilla) and structures, which are located inside this region. It divides into two most important types, major depression and bipolar depression. The various American and European guidelines for the treatment include major depression and bipolar disorder providing similar basic treatment principles, which include individualizing the treatment plan, preparing the patient for potential long-term treatment, providing measurement based care, and remission treatment. While the guidelines are all evidence-based, certain factors can influence differences in specific recommendations. The similarities and differences among the three sets of guidelines from Europe and North Americas are reviewed here (American Psychiatry Association, British Association for Psychopharmacology, and Canadian Network for Mood and Anxiety Treatments). The similarity and differences include which psychopharmacology, psychotherapy or other option can be used. Some factors or special situations e.g. pregnancy or older age can affect the choosing of the treatment principle.20 0Item Restricted How To Escape Liquidity Trap, Methods and Policies(Saudi Digital Library, 2012) Alibrahim, Hussain; Czeglédi, Pál6 0Item Restricted Passenger Vehicle Production in Developing Country(Saudi Digital Library, 2013) Alamodi, Noha; Kuske, SybilleDue to the fierce globalization, the automotive sector and its Tier companies are being forced to spread their core competencies in other parts of the world not only in production, but also in development and marketing. It is not uncommon, however, for a mature automotive industry to depend on developing countries’ excessive growth and labor. This thesis will prove and pinpoint why Saudi Arabia should transform into a country with prosperous passenger vehicle production beneficiary for the country, its region and for the world in general. The mechanism of the automotive industry itself will serve as a means of enabling certain developing countries around the world to start developing their own industries. The study will focus on some of the specific experiences regarding the wanted settlement of passenger vehicle production in Saudi Arabia, and it will show the trends why it is beneficial for the country of Saudi Arabia, the automotive industry and for the Arabian part of the world. The significant values in the automotive industry, including time, expenditure, and society are imperative in knowing where to start the process of the automotive industry in developing countries like Saudi Arabia; as these depend on the current state of the country itself, they will be different for each developing country. One such developing country, Saudi Arabia, exports materials to companies that contribute in the development of the automotive industry. “Saudi Arabia is the world’s top oil exporter, and for years West Asia has aimed at using its abundant natural resources as a means of diversifying its economy into many varied, complex industries.” 1 Saudi Arabia may find itself with an inexperienced car industry due to the benefits provided by low electricity prices as a result of low natural gas prices, but with these benefits and other factors stated in this thesis, Saudi Arabia should become one of the best locations for automotive production. This thesis will reveal why Saudi Arabia should be a must for automotive production and for companies in this industry to move their production and development.6 0Item Restricted مصطلحات قانون الميراث المصري والنمساوي وصعوبة ترجمتها(Saudi Digital Library, 2009) Alshehri, Faiz Mohammed; Prunč, Erich25 0
