Item Restricted مصطلحات قانون الميراث المصري والنمساوي وصعوبة ترجمتها(Saudi Digital Library, 2009) Alshehri, Faiz Mohammed; Prunč, Erich15 0Item Restricted How To Escape Liquidity Trap, Methods and Policies(Saudi Digital Library, 2012) Alibrahim, Hussain; Czeglédi, Pál6 0Item Restricted Administration of Natural Disasters and Crisis(Saudi Digital Library, 2013) Aljameel, Suliman Mousa; Mocanu, Victor24 0Item Restricted Passenger Vehicle Production in Developing Country(Saudi Digital Library, 2013) Alamodi, Noha; Kuske, SybilleDue to the fierce globalization, the automotive sector and its Tier companies are being forced to spread their core competencies in other parts of the world not only in production, but also in development and marketing. It is not uncommon, however, for a mature automotive industry to depend on developing countries’ excessive growth and labor. This thesis will prove and pinpoint why Saudi Arabia should transform into a country with prosperous passenger vehicle production beneficiary for the country, its region and for the world in general. The mechanism of the automotive industry itself will serve as a means of enabling certain developing countries around the world to start developing their own industries. The study will focus on some of the specific experiences regarding the wanted settlement of passenger vehicle production in Saudi Arabia, and it will show the trends why it is beneficial for the country of Saudi Arabia, the automotive industry and for the Arabian part of the world. The significant values in the automotive industry, including time, expenditure, and society are imperative in knowing where to start the process of the automotive industry in developing countries like Saudi Arabia; as these depend on the current state of the country itself, they will be different for each developing country. One such developing country, Saudi Arabia, exports materials to companies that contribute in the development of the automotive industry. “Saudi Arabia is the world’s top oil exporter, and for years West Asia has aimed at using its abundant natural resources as a means of diversifying its economy into many varied, complex industries.” 1 Saudi Arabia may find itself with an inexperienced car industry due to the benefits provided by low electricity prices as a result of low natural gas prices, but with these benefits and other factors stated in this thesis, Saudi Arabia should become one of the best locations for automotive production. This thesis will reveal why Saudi Arabia should be a must for automotive production and for companies in this industry to move their production and development.6 0Item Restricted Synthetic Bioarchitecture Comprised of S-layer Proteins, Lipid Membranes, and in vitro Synthesized Membrane Proteins(Saudi Digital Library, 2013) Damiati, Samar Abdullah M; Techn, NatMembranproteine spielen eine entscheidende Rolle in den Funktionszusammenhängen lebender Zellen. The Treatment of Unipolar and Bipolar Depression Today(Saudi Digital Library, 2014) Aljohani, Ahmed Said; Breznoscakova, DagmarDepression is a second major cause of disability worldwide. It divides into two most important types, major depression and bipolar depression. The various American and European guidelines for the treatment include major depression and bipolar disorder providing similar basic treatment principles, which include individualizing the treatment plan, preparing the patient for potential long-term treatment, providing measurement based care, and remission treatment. While the guidelines are all evidence-based, certain factors can influence differences in specific recommendations. The similarities and differences among the three sets of guidelines from Europe and North Americas are reviewed here (American Psychiatry Association, British Association for Psychopharmacology, and Canadian Network for Mood and Anxiety Treatments). The similarity and differences include which psychopharmacology, psychotherapy or other option can be used. Some factors or special situations e.g. pregnancy or older age can affect the choosing of the treatment principle.19 0Item Restricted Impacts of Studying Abroad on the Knowledge and Attitudes Towards Sustainable Development: A Case Study of the Scholarship Pro-gram in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia(Saudi Digital Library, 2014) Alqhtany, Hashim ; Ponocny, IvoThis study aims to examine the relationship between studying abroad and knowledge and attitudes towards sustainable development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The hypothesis of this research is that studying abroad on a scholarship would result in a deeper knowledge about sustainability and positive attitudes towards it. In order to investigate the differences in the knowledge and attitudes towards sustaina- bility of Saudi students, this researcher used the scholarship program system and King Saud University to facilitate and ease the research. Surveys were sent to all students both in the country and out. These surveys contained questions intended to measure the differences in the knowledge that the students had acquired. Both qualitative and quanti- tative questions were put to the students. After collecting the data, a software pack- age called SPSS was used for analysis of the data. Finally, the results were interpreted and conclusions drawn. This study had a sample size of 45 respondents, 29 of which are studying in the country, and 27 of which were on scholarship studying abroad. The results reveal that students studying abroad tend to acquire more detailed infor- mation about sustainable development.15 0Item Restricted Effects of Illicit Narcotics Trade on Global Economy. A Case Study on Pakistan(Saudi Digital Library, 2014) Alasmari, Khaled; Zaharia, Rodica Milena11 0Item Restricted Asset Securitisation in Development Finance Institutions(Saudi Digital Library, 2014) Alolayan, Afnan Mohammed ; Gaitskell, Bruce; Wannerer, HelgaDevelopment Finance Institutions (DFIs) are limited in what they can do by the quantum of funding they have available; this thesis will look into a possible incremental method of funding, where there would be no reason to abandon existing funding methods, incremental funding will allow the DFI to do more within its existing balance sheet and capital base. Asset securitisation will leveraged DFIs recourses to support more projects, in which supporting the development of securitisation transactions may represent more benefit to a target country than the simple provision of soft loans. A DFI may sponsor and/or participate in early capital market issues (including securitisation) to develop a target country’s capital markets and thereby increase the amount of locally available funding to target institutions. DFIs may also consider the securitisation of some or its own development loan portfolio.12 0Item Restricted Comparison of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Applications in Selected Manufacturing Processes(Saudi Digital Library, 2014) Aljasass, Hassan Zaki S; Novák-Marcinčin, JozefWith the advent of high-resolution graphics, high-speed computing, and user interaction devices, virtual reality (VR) has emerged as a major new technology in recent years. VR technology is currently used in a broad range of applications, the best known being flight simulators, walkthroughs, video games, and medicine (virtual surgery). From a manufacturing standpoint, some of the attractive applications include training, collaborative product and process design, facility monitoring, and manage ment. Lately, with the emergence of complementary areas of VR such as augmented reality (AR), one can address crucial problems of registration between virtual and real worlds.13 0Item Restricted Clinical Important of Axilla(Saudi Digital Library, 2014) Maashi, Ahmed Khalil Mohammed; Mihalik, JozefThe first part of my thesis is devoted to the description of the axillary fossa (axilla) and structures, which are located inside this region. In the following sections I present a brief description of selected types of diseases with relatioship to the axilla, such as biopsy of axillary lymph nodes during breast cancer, axillary block of brachial plexus, or injuries of thoracodorsal, long thoracic or axillary nerves.9 0Item Restricted Managing Loyalty in The Automotive Industry: The Impact of Social Media on the Purchase Cycle(Saudi Digital Library, 2015) Mahfooz, Lugeen Mohemmed; Gašparík, JozefThis study examines the impact of social networks on brand loyalty when consumers are considering purchasing a new road vehicle, and how social networks influence the processes of purchase and consumers’ attitudes and perceptions towards the brand. The process of purchasing a new car has changed with the widespread use of social media, which has begun to influence purchase intentions, so that the sale cycle of the automotive industry is evolving. The findings of this study suggest that the perceptions of friends and families discussed on social media networks have become more influential for potential consumers when compared to traditional forms of commercial marketing, so that person-to-person marketing has become an important new phenomenon that needs to be recognised by vehicle manufacturers and dealers. Dean (2013) argues that the purchase intentions of potential consumers can influence what type of car and where they would purchase this from, so that marketing needs to be a mix of strategies where social media is a central element. This thesis intends to investigate how the automotive industry manages the concept of customer loyalty, which should fill a gap in knowledge for this industry and present better understanding. The research will also focus on the market in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to reveal the influence of loyalty and advocacy and how these could be maximised, as well as analyse social media strategies that have been successful. The expected results of this study should demonstrate the importance of social media for vehicle manufacturers and dealers and its influence on the process of consumers’ purchasing intentions. The researcher believes that the findings of this thesis should provide valuable guidance for car dealers in Saudi Arabia to adopt a better model for the sale cycle that will be more effective in achieving improved sales of vehicles.6 0Item Restricted Übersetzungsorientierte Terminologiearbeit am Beispiel des Strafrechts in Österreich und Saudi-Arabien(Saudi Digital Library, 2015) Alshehri, Faiz; Budin, Gerhard; Lohlker, Rüdiger14 0Item Restricted Saudi Women Role in Development of the Society(Saudi Digital Library, 2015) Alshahrani, Sabra Naji; Cviklova, LucieIn this research, we showed and clarified the role of Saudi women in development and to demonstrate the role played by Saudi women and the status of the effectiveness of society, although it was delayed for several different reasons, including social, cultural and economic. We explained the importance and prestige that Islam gave to women and statements in the Quran and in Sunnah agree on the importance of the work and effectiveness of women in society. Also the role of women in society is affected by the customs, traditions and interpretations of the values and traditions of society. Historically, in the beginning of the formation of the first and second Saudi states, the education of women did not play a large role except for primitive education in such matters as religion, reading and writing on a small level and due to reasons including the development of a growing, busy state. But in the Third Saudi State by King Abdulaziz bin Saud and later his sons, women's education was clear goal that set up infrastructures to make decisions in their right to education and learning. The golden age of women was in the reign of King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. Their decisions in favor of women and opening foreign studies, has in a strong development on the academic level. In the last chapter, we did interviews with Saudi women through the Internet, we chose these women based on their struggles, the difficulties they have overcome and their service to their community in their respective fields.13 0Item Restricted The Temporality In Urban Strategies Mina Case Study(Saudi Digital Library, 2016) Alamoudi, Mohammed; Jäger Klein, CarolineThe perception of designs for city development has normally considered a master plan or permanent form. Drawing from the history of urban planning and in the context of current situation in effective urban strategies, the dissertation thesis argues that the temporality in urban strategies is becoming the most important element for future urban design. The author is defending the statement in four chapters using theoretical as well as empirical approach. First chapter is devoting to temporary urbanism itself where the basic concepts and theories are presented. Second and third chapter are analytical, describing the case studies of temporary cities and events with the main focus on Mina – exact example of temporary city. By analysing and comparing the case studies we focused on implementation of temporary strategies, changes in time and finally situation after the end of event or occasion. We have proved effectiveness in temporary urban planning. Fourth chapter is providing the insight to the own research where we used relevant computer programs and analytical tools to analyse data from primary survey and social media as bottom-up approach to temporary urbanism. We analysed temporary uses of urban spaces and attitudes of temporary users to build the model of quality of life in temporary cities and prove the interest of grassroots level in urban planning. In addition we proposed post-analysis of London Olympics and Shanghai Expo as prove of the importance of temporality nowadays. We discovered that there are lots of proves of temporality becoming the most important element for future urban design as we stated at the beginning of dissertation. Last part of the thesis is simulation analysis providing the process of urbanisation in temporary entities to show the origination of the temporary formations in reality14 0Item Restricted An Empirical Study in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia(Saudi Digital Library, 2016) Batawi, Hani Hassan; Lešinský, JánThis research work explores the customers’ decision making process in purchasing electric cars in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This consumer behavioural research has acquired a market summary which definitely enlightens the enrichment of materialising the strategy for the business of electric car products in KSA. To venture this research work in KSA, cities like Jeddah, Dammam and Al-Quasim have been chosen where a total of four hundred and fifty customers have participated to answer the questionnaires which are constructed on a basis of five point Likert Scale. A random probability sampling tool has been used to find out the level of customers’ thoughts and opinions about energy efficient, environmental friendly, performance benefit, reduction of energy dependence and customers buying decision regarding the electric car products available in KSA. It is found through the descriptive analysis where all the variables have high mean scores which are more than four. From this research results with the aid of Pearson Correlation tests, it is found that all the relationships among energy efficient, environmental friendly, performance benefit, reduction of energy dependence are found to be positive and significant with the customers’ decision making process in purchasing electric car products as all the p values obtained significance at the 0.01 level (99% confidence level) for 2-tailed. The results suggest that the customers pay much importance on the mentioned variables in their practical life reflecting the electric car products’ possible characteristics for the spontaneous support from the customers in future. At last the multiple regression analysis suggests that all the variables such as energy efficient, environmental friendly, performance benefit, reduction of energy dependence are significant with the customers’ buying decision regarding electric cars in KSA. This descriptive type of research, the findings, and the most enriched recommendations have depicted a vivid scenario about electric car products available in the territory of KSA.8 0Item Restricted The Effect of Airway Clearance Techniques on Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(Saudi Digital Library, 2018) Milibari, Hussam; Pavlů, DagmarObjective The main purpose of this study is to expose and evaluate the efficacy of airway clearance techniques on patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease by using pulmonary functions and Quality of Life measurements from recent studies. Methodology This thesis is literature review. The selected studies were according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The selections of recent studies were published from the year of 2000 until 2017 in English language. The following research databases were selected to identify the relevant topic: PubMed, MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane, PEDro, and CINAHL. The parameters’ results from the articles have been also selected by evaluation the statistical differences according to the P-values. Results Twenty-three articles out of 117 have been found according to inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria, and outcome measures. The techniques were active cycle of breathing technique (ACBT), positive expiratory pressure (PEP), temporary of positive expiratory pressure (T-PEP), Oscillating positive expiratory pressure (O-PEP), high-frequency chest wall oscillation (HFCWO), slow expiration with glottis opened in lateral posture (ELTGOL), postural drainage, and autogenic drainage. The patients age was ranged between 30 to 91 years old. The parameters of pulmonary functions that were found in differences between articles are: FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, PEF, FEF, ERV, TLC, and RV. There were variations in statistical differences although there were frequent using of PEP and its modifications. Conclusion The evidence of airway clearance techniques on patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease by evaluation of pulmonary functions and quality of life measurements are still poor although there were mentioning of improvements in some studies.13 0
