Item Restricted The Causality Between Stock Prices, Exchange Rate and GDP in Saudi Arabia(Saudi Digital Library, 2019) Alotatibi, Amjad Mohammed; Khawaja, muhammad JunaidThe study aims to find if there is a causal relationship between Saudi gross domestic product, stock prices, and the exchange rate. The study contains the gross domestic product as a dependent variable in the first equation while the independent variables in the equation are the market index (TASI) and the exchange rate and the GDP for the previous period, in the second equation the exchange rate is the dependent variable. The research sample starts from the first quarter of 2010 to the first quarter of 2019. Three tests were used, starting from the Unit root test, the Co- integration test, and a Granger causality test for four hypotheses. The results show that there is no causal relationship between the variables. Which emphasizes the need to develop the Saudi market.4 0
